Safeguarding
Safeguarding is the action that is taken to promote the welfare of children and protect them from harm.
Safeguarding means:
– protecting children from abuse and maltreatment
– preventing harm to children’s health or development
– ensuring children grow up with the provision of safe and effective care
– taking action to enable all children and young people to have the best outcomes.

Charing Church of England Primary School is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for children, staff and visitors and promoting a climate where children and adults will feel confident about sharing any concerns which they may have about their own safety or the well-being of others.
Schools play a vital role in safeguarding children therefore we have procedures in place for a wide range of issues including child protection, e-safety, visits and risk assessments, allegations of abuse, information sharing and medical needs.
You will find copies of all policies linked to Safeguarding children in the policy section of the website. These include: Child Protection, Online Safety, Health and Safety, Anti-Bullying, Whistleblowing and Complaints procedures.
Please take the time to read our policies and do not hesitate to contact the school should you have any questions.
