Parents
Welcome to this section of the website. We believe that a child’s education is a collaboration between parents, child and school and we all have vital roles to play.
We hope that you find the information on these pages useful. Please let us know if there is information that you would like included on our website.
School Meals
Our school meals are provided by Nourish and cooked on-site in our kitchen. School dinners cost £2.05 a day. Dinners must be booked and paid for on Monday for the whole week.
Reception and Key Stage 1 children are entitled to free school meals. However, if they would be entitled to free school meals for the reasons below, please apply for them. Meals do still need to be booked. The school receives additional funding for children in receipt of free school meals.
Just to remind you, if your child has Pupil Premium, they are entitled to free school meals. If you claim Pupil Premium when they are in Key Stage 1 (where meals are currently free), it works well because we can put other things into place for your child and they continue to have free school meals throughout Key Stage 2. If you need any support on applying for Pupil Premium, ask our FLO, Mrs Hawkins, and she will support you.
Your child might be able to get free school meals if you receive any of the following:
- income Support
- income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
- income-related Employment and Support Allowance
- support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
- the guaranteed element of Pension Credit
- Child Tax Credit (provided you’re not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190)
- Working Tax Credit run-on – paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit
- Universal Credit

If you are unsure or would like some support, please come into the office and speak to Mrs Tanton.
Uniform
How children present themselves to others is important and their uniform is a key part of this. Children should have pride in themselves and their uniform, wearing it appropriately and presenting a smart image of the school at all times.
Please look at our Uniform Policy for specific information.
Earrings should be studs and must be removed by the child for PE, not taped over. Please only get ears pierced at the beginning of the summer holiday as new earrings cannot be removed for 6 weeks.
Uniform can be purchased from School Trends Online.
